President's Christmas Message

DEAR ALL,

Reflecting on 2017, I can see that it was marked by uncertainty in some market segments that in one way or the other influenced the business in the region. We have also seen internal and external political issues in the neighboring countries that is effecting the business for all of us. This has possibly resulted in a slowdown of the business climate in the region.

But we have also seen examples of prosperous businesses for Swedish companies in many markets and I do believe that there is a great future ahead.

The Swedish Business Council has further developed its vision and mission in creating platforms and opportunities for its members to expand business. A few examples of this are networking in HR and Finance but also conferences and workshops in areas like VAT, security, CSR, SME expansion of business using social media and others.

We have also created networking opportunities by arranging social events like Nordic Sundowners, Golf Tournament, National Day celebration, Christmas events and others. It is our ambition, believe and hope that these activities is contributing to your business growth.

In addition to the above, we have redesigned the Swedish Business Council’s logotype to reflect the updated vision of the organisation. You could read about the process on our website sbcuae.se, where we also keep you updated about upcoming events
