Proudly Swedish!

Is there any time you feel so proudly Swedish as when living abroad?! The Swedish expats in the UAE were invitied to celebrate the Swedish National Day (in advance) on the 2 June and so they did!

More than 200 people gathered at the Habtoor Grand Resort in Dubai to wave their Swedish flags and indulge in traditional Swedish foods. H.E the Ambassador of Sweden to the UAE, Mr. Henrik Landerholm, also attended the celebrations together with his family. To get us all in the right mood, Lisette Ullman treated us to some beautiful singing and together the whole crowd sang the national anthem. As it was very much a family event, children got entertained by Art Village Nursery, our Swedish nursery here in Dubai. The staff had brought a variety of arts and crafts and the older kids enjoyed a classic quiz - all in Swedish of course!

We want to thank everyone who attended and made this a day to remember! We couldn't have done it without you - and not without our amazing sponsors! Thank you to Volvo Cars, Emirates, GAC, Art Village Nursery, Fagerhult, Stora Enso, Lili & Lala and CarpetCC.
